- Be introduced to the use of ICT at Notley and e-safety
- Create a multimedia presentation as a virtual tour of the school for Year 6 students
- Use spreadsheets and desktop publishing in an Animal Rescue Centre project
- Use Kodu software to create games and introduce programming

Students will:
- Collaborate to create a video about the advantages and dangers of collaborating online
- Use spreadsheet software to create a model to assess our effect on the environment
- Use web creation software to create an e-time capsule to show teenagers in 10 years time what life is like now.

Year 9

Students will
- Use a variety of software to work on a project to create greetings cards
- Use a variety of software to work on a project to market a sports centre
- In the last half term of year 9 students follow a program of study to support GCSE options

* Units 1 and 3 are both 1½ hr exams Unit 1—Living in a Digital World: students explore how digital technology impacts on the lives of individuals, organisations and society. Unit 2—Using Digital Tools: Controlled Assessment. ICT skills are developed to produce effective ICT solutions. Unit 3—Exploring Digital Design: students explore interactive products; websites, computer games and databases and produce design documentation. Unit 4 –Creating Digital Products: Controlled Assessment. Unit 3 theory is applied so that students produce their own interactive digital product.
