Notley High School - Background Information

Notley High School is a very successful and heavily over-subscribed comprehensive school situated in Braintree Essex. Our aim is to be an outstanding school providing the highest quality education for all our students. We are recognised by the Department for Children, Schools and Families as a high performing specialist school for which we receive significant extra funding every year.

Notley has been a Technology College since 2001 and was re-designated for Phase 2 (2005 - 2009) and we are developing a sixth form as a result of sixth form presumption through vocational second specialism. The sixth form is being developed as Braintree Sixth Form in partnership with the other two 11-16 secondary schools in Braintree (Alec Hunter Humanities College and Tabor Science College) and Honywood Community Science School in Coggeshall. The governing bodies of the four schools have established a joint governance committee to oversee 14-19 developments between the four schools.
