About the School Library
The school library is available to pupils throughout the school day for research, homework, study or quiet reading. It is open from 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday, and from 8.30-4.00pm on Friday. Every pupil is enrolled as a member of the school library. New students will receive their Library card during their Library Induction in their first few weeks of school.
The Library has a large collection of both Fiction and Non Fiction books. New stock is added to the collection on a regular basis. Pupils may borrow two books at any one time for a period of three weeks. Pupils can also borrow tapes and CD’s. As well as a wide range of books the Library has daily newspapers, magazines and journals, French and Spanish magazines. The library also subscribes to an online collection of resources. “Weblinks” gives students access to thousands of accredited websites.
