Wind Band at St Mary’s Church Bocking

On Saturday 6 March the Wind Band performed at St Mary’s Church in Bocking. We were asked by Mrs Comfort, one of the schools governors, if we could perform in the church to help raise money for church funds.

On the 9th of February, Year 7 was selling Valentine’s cards for Notley High School for the duration of the week, dedicated for a special person. This special person is Harry Robinson.

Art Masterclass

On Saturday 16th, an exciting Art Masterclass took place at Notley, along with other Gifted and Talented events. 

Wind Band at Gosfield

On Tuesday 2 March the Wind Band performed for the members of Gosfield Senior Circle.  This was our first concert this year which showcased lots of new music.

 

Jack Petchey Achievement Award – Winners

It is with great pleasure that we can announce that the prizes for January, February and March can be awarded this month.  Having checked with the Jack Petchey Foundation, only one student per month can receive an award and as three students were involved in a charitable act, they have to be awarded a month each. The Jack Petchey Foundation is happy for this to happen.

 

RSPCA Donation

Year 10 students have been busy this term bringing in donations for the RSPCA Centre in Weathersfield.

 

OAP Christmas party

Every year Mrs. Shipton and the year 8’s organise a Christmas party for elderly people from the local area. 

Notley High Ski Trip February 2010

February half term 2010 saw yet another ski trip head out to Austria for the annual Notley High Ski trip. It was my tenth trip at Notley and quite honestly the best to date! 

 

Non-Uniform Day – Friday 5 February: Unicef

This year Unicef’s campaign is called ‘Day for Change 2010’ and focuses on changing lives for children in Mozambique by improving their health and education.  So, if you’re not going to wear uniform on Friday 5 February, please bring in £1 for the privilege and help make the lives of these children better.
