Thirteen gifted and talented year 6 pupils from Notley’s feeder primary schools attended a Science Master Class on Tuesday 4th March.
The groups comprised of a mixture of pupils from Terling, White Notley, White Court, Notley Green and Rayne primary schools. The pupils used specialised equipment, including gas syringes, to measure the amount of carbon dioxide released from marble chips reacting with hydrochloric acid at different temperatures. Each group obtained an accurate set of results and displayed their results in graphical form. This was the second in a series of year 6 master classes to be held at Notley High School. Thanks, as always, to Mrs Newell for her excellent preparation and assistance.
