About the School Library

Osborn Katrina

The school library is available to students throughout the school day for research, homework, study or quiet reading. It is open from 8.30am-4.00pm Monday to Friday. All Years can access the school Library at Tutor Time, break and Lunch. Every student is enrolled as a member of the school library and will receive a library induction in their first few weeks of term.

The library has a large collection of both Fiction, Non-Fiction books and Reference material. New stock is added to the collection on a regular basis. Students may borrow two books at any one time for a period of two weeks. As well as a wide range of books the library has daily newspapers, comics and an audio book collection. The library also has a large and growing collection, currently over 4600 resources, of books to support the Accelerated Reader programme at Notley High School.

Every Friday lunchtime the Library holds a “Games day” where you come along and play a variety of Board Games, Chess, Draughts, Logic Puzzles, Top Trumps and much more. The Library also has a new Outdoor Learning Space, which is open to students during the summer.

There is a separate library in Braintree Sixth Form.
