Computing - Introduction
Computing is taught at both KS3 and KS4. In KS3, students receive 1 hour of teaching per week and are encouraged to be logical, creative, independent thinkers and effective digital citizens.
AQA computer science GCSE is offered at KS4. Computing is an increasingly relevant subject and is increasing in popularity.
Students study both computing theory and practical programming. Computing Club is available after school on a Wednesday to encourage students at both KS3 and KS4 to deepen their practical skills.
Students are encouraged to be independent thinkers and to be logical in finding the most appropriate solution to programming questions.
Computer science is available in the sixth form as an A Level.
