In the early hours of Saturday 11 February, fifteen Year 13 students met to travel to Heathrow Airport to start our American adventure. In the week that followed, the group visited two cities, travelled through six states and walked nearly 55 miles.

Celebrations to mark Chinese New Year have been taking place in the Notley Library. Students were invited to take part in a special House competition to mark Chinese New Year on January 28th.

Fundraising in remembrance of Emilia Kordaszewska

The school will be having a non-uniform day on Friday 3 February 2017 to raise money for Hope House, a homeless shelter charity based in Braintree. The money raised for Hope House is in remembrance of Emilia Kordaszewska in Year 7.

Yesterday was Emilia and her mother’s funeral. One of Emilia’s tutors, who attended, wrote this. It seems fitting to share it with our whole community and beyond.

Head of Design for Breville Visits Notley

On 30 January, Mr. Vyvyan Rose, Head of design for Breville kitchen appliances (known as Sage in the UK), came in to talk to Y10 V-CERT and GCSE Product Design students about Real World Design.

Changes to School Uniform

I am writing to inform you of changes to school uniform that will be introduced from September 2017. This letter is to give you advance warning of these changes and to ensure that if you are buying items of school uniform between now and the start of the new academic year that you are aware of the new requirements. These changes will affect all year groups, Years 7 – 11.
