Design a Fan Site!

Notley High School is proud to announce its “Design a Fan Site” competition. This ICT competition is open to all KS3 students (Yrs 7-9) attending The Ramsey School, Honywood School, Tabor School, Alec Hunter School, Rickstones School and Notley High School. You need to design a fan website in FrontPage, Dreamweaver or any other HTML program on a favourite computer game, sports team/player or a celebrity/band of your choice.

Welcome Sophie Brain

Please welcome Sophie Brain aged 11 from Waterloo, Belgium. She is here to do research for her project “a comparison between life in a Belgian school and that of an English school”. She has spent the day shadowing Bethany Conlon, and gave a presentation to 7O about life in a Belgian School.

It's a Boy!

Early in November 2004 Mrs Tucker and Mrs Curran were very happy to announce their new arrival - a bouncing 7lb 7oz baby boy. (He was actually born on 29 September but it took a while for him to be delivered!)


Ofsted Inspection

Thursday, 23 March 2006.

The school was visited by two Ofsted inspectors on Wednesday 8 March 2006. Notley was selected to be part of an Ofsted trial of a shortened inspection process for high achieving schools.

Hairstyle Consultation - Results

You may recall that before Christmas we asked for your views on the school’s policy towards hair and hairstyles following concerns raised by some parents near the start of the school year. 

Paired Reading

Thursday, 17 November 2005.

Paired Reading has got off to an excellent start this year, with 70 of our Year11 students working with 70 Year7s. Together they choose a book and share the reading of it.

Leading Specialist School

In addition to the recent International School and Artsmark Awards, Notley has been identified by the Department for Education and Skills as a high performing specialist school.
