On Wednesday 11 October students from current Years 8 to 10 collected awards at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form's annual Key Stage 3 Presentation Evening.
On Sunday 8 October 2017, Year 13 students Leah Roby Smith and Ella Jones ran the Royal Parks half marathon in London to raise money for the charity Scope.
Fourteen of our Year 9 students were selected by the Heads of House to participate in this year’s Respect Project which is voluntarily run by The Essex Boys & Girls Club in Chelmsford.
Mr Conway has sent out a letter today about the changes to the Food Hall and outside eating areas that have taken place over the summer. We are delighted and a little overwhelmed by the positive response by students who are using the canteen at break and lunchtimes.
We finished the term today with an assembly celebrating the achievement of students during the year. More than 200 awards were made during the assembly, an incredible amount which reflects the success of so many students in a wide range of aspects of school life, from the sporting field to high attendance, drama, public speaking and achievement points.

Braintree Sixth Form celebrated their best ever International Baccalaureate (IB) results in July, with 100% of the Year 13 IB cohort passing the qualification. The highest points score was achieved by Tamsin Sprawling with 39 points. The average point score for the whole IB cohort was 32 points, above both national and international averages.
Twenty-four Year 9 students went to the STEM Innovation Centre at The College at Braintree on 10 July 2017 where they were given the opportunity to hear about careers and apprenticeships in the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Kelsey was nominated to receive this award by one of her parents. Kelsey’s friend became ill and needed to go on a special liquid diet for 6 weeks.
We are delighted to announce that Scarlett Perrin, a Year 13 student, is one of this year’s winners of the prestigious Diana Award. This is the 20th anniversary of this award and Scarlett is one of only 750 outstanding young people to have won this award from the UK and across the world.
