Year 9 Visit World War 1 Battlefields
Today many of our Year 9 pupils are visiting the First World War Battlefields in Belgium. This is the second of two visits and follows the earlier group which visited Belgium on 2 November.
These trips, held around the same time as Remembrance Day, have now become a regular fixture on the Notley High School trips calendar. Such visits are a very important part of the curriculum at Notley and I am always grateful to staff who give so freely of their time to run these activities for our students. The Battlefields trips were organised by the History Department and I would like to thank Mr Higgon, Head of History, for his efficient organisation of the visits. Many other staff accompanied the two trips and I am grateful to them for their participation.
