Years 7 and 8 Careers Assemblies
The school’s careers advisor, Jane Cure from Directions, addressed Year 7 and 8 students in two assemblies this week.
She introduced herself and the services she offers, as well as outlined what she cannot do for the students – for example, making decisions for them! Jane highlighted the importance in gaining as much information as possible about future careers and progression paths so that students can make informed decisions about where they want their lives to lead.
Although leaving Year 11 may seem a long way off at the moment, it will soon come round and students should use Jane’s experience and expertise as they move through school. Jane offers one-to-one careers interviews in which students can discuss their thoughts, aspirations and concerns about careers and further study. If you would like to be put on the list for a careers interview, please contact Mr. Griffiths by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
