We are looking for staff of the highest calibre who are capable of making a positive contribution to teaching and learning at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form.

In return, we offer excellent induction and training to support professional development to all support and teaching staff.  We have programmes in place for Newly Qualified Teachers as well as aspiring Middle Leaders and Senior Leaders.

Teacher Training with Mid Essex ITT

Mid Essex is a school-based Initial Teacher Training scheme based at Notley High School and Braintree Sixth Form.  We have over 20 years of experience and over 500 teachers have trained with us.  We currently work with 14 secondary schools across Essex and train teachers in sixteen different subjects.   In October 2017, Mid Essex ITT was inspected by Ofsted and awarded the coveted 'outstanding' status in all categories.

We offer a variety of different routes into teacher training:

  • Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE), accredited by the University of Greenwich
  • SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training)
  • School Direct (fee-paying)
  • School Direct (salaried)
  • Graduate Apprenticeships in teacher training
  • Assessment Only

Maths & Physics Internships
