• A Visit From Jacob Sam la Rose

The morning started in a way people did not expect… well half of us anyway (including me), with around ten of us sitting in our usual classroom, vaguely aware of Sam la Rose’s visit but unsure when and where it exactly was supposed to occur.

  • Charlie Hooks - Jackey Petchey Award Winner February 2018

Charlie was nominated for the Jack Petchey award by his form tutor. Charlie performed The Last Post in Acts of Remembrance in Halstead in November 2017 also in his home village of Rayne.

  • Marty Patten - Jackey Petchey Award Winner January 2018

Marty was nominated for the Jack Petchey award by his peers, for being a hard-working, intelligent, optimistic and cheerful person, who is always up for a laugh and always gets involved despite his visual impairment (Marty is registered blind).

  • Midwife Visit

This morning, Year 10 Child Development students were given the fantastic opportunity to hear from two midwives, Claire Hooks and Sara Smith, from Anglia Ruskin University.

  • Happy Birthday to Ken

As part of Parks Assembly this morning we were delighted to celebrate Mr Ken Coe’s 80th birthday. Ken has been part of the school’s cleaning team for 10 years and in that time has become a much loved and respected member of the school community.
