    On 9 and 16 November 2018, the history department’s annual Battlefields trips took place. These involved 10 staff and nearly 120 Year 9 students across the two days. It’s always a painfully early start, leaving school at 4am, but this does mean we can pack in as much as possible.

  • Anti-Bullying Week 2018

    During this year's national Anti-Bullying Week, 12-16 November 2018, our Year 11 senior students have been leading assemblies each morning promoting a culture of anti-bullying and respect towards others.

  • Last day of term arrangements

    School term ends for all students on Friday 21 December 2018 at 2pm. Students should come prepared for normal lessons periods 1 to 4. Lunch will be at 1.30pm as normal.

  • Netball Festival in La Manga

    From 22 - 26 October 2018, 19 students, along with Miss McLean and Miss Brough, embarked on a netball development tour to the Spanish Netball Festival in La Manga.

  • Naples Trip

    On 18 October 2018, 44 students and 5 staff travelled to Sorrento in the Bay of Naples for a 5 day trip exploring areas including Herculaneum, Pompeii, the Amalfi coast, Scala, Ravello and Capri.

  • Scholars programme

    On 5 November 2018, nineteen Year 9 students travelled to Newnham College, Cambridge, for the launch of The Scholars Programme.

  • Road Safety Play

    On Thursday 1 November, the whole of Year 9 had a road safety play delivered by Ginificent. This is part of Safer Essex Roads Partnership (SERP) road safety programme. Based upon a real-life tragedy, ‘Perfect’ used naturalistic acting, narration, physical theatre and popular music to highlight key messages.

    The deadline for school photo orders is this friday (2 November 2018)  after which orders will incur a late fee.

  • Lily Jarvis Jack Petchey Winnner October 2018

    Lily has invested a lot of her time in fundraising for issues close to her heart over the recent months. She took part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy Kids event in memory of her grandfathers and has been doing lots of activities to increase her fundraising since then.
