    Be prepared to take a step back in time to the 80s in Hollywood with Rock of Ages the Musical, and the party has been raging hard. Aqua Net, Lycra, Heavy Metal flow freely at one of the Sunset Strips last legendary venues, a place where legendary rocker Stacee Jaxx takes the stage.

  • Chinese New Year

    On Tuesday 5 February 2019, the catering team at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form celebrated the Chinese New Year with a menu selection of Chinese chicken wraps and crackers, a lovely Chinese chicken curry and freshly stir fried vegetables with noodles in hoi sin sauce.

  • Graphic Designer Gemma Smith Visits Notley

    We were fortunate to welcome the graphic designer Gemma Smith to the Art Department on Wednesday 6 February. Gemma showed GCSE Graphic Communication and Art, Craft and Design students examples of her inspirational Graphic Design work which included illustration and film animation.

  • Mr Wishart – Jack Petchey Leader Award

    Mr Wishart is a colleague who gives up his time selflessly, both after school and during school holidays, for the benefit of students. In recent years, Mr Wishart has attended residential PE trips, sporting fixtures and run extra-curricular clubs.

  • Essex Roadster Day 2019

    Braintree Sixth Form hosted its annual Essex Roadster event on Friday 1 February 2019.  The event is run in conjunction with Essex County Council and local driving school providers.  The aim of the event is to heighten the awareness of road safety initiatives to our Year 12 students.

  • The History Squad Visit Notley

    On Friday 1 February 2019, we welcomed Kevin from the History Squad to a Year 11 GCSE history class. Kevin spoke about his experiences as a member of the British Military in Germany during the Cold War, and about policing across time, as after his military career he joined the Metropolitan Police.

  • January House Competition – The Matchbox Challenge!

    The library kicked off the New Year with a resilience skills challenge. All tutor groups from all Houses were invited to take part in the Matchbox Challenge. The rules were simple, collect a box from the library and fill it with items of the colour of your House.
