On Thursday 26th April, 30 Students from Year 10 Student Voice took part in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge workshop.

The Jack Petchey "Speak Out" Challenge is a programme run by the Speakers Trust and funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation.  The Year 10 students spent the day learning public speaking skills and how to communicate with confidence and enjoyment. The training involved games and improvisational speeches. As the end of the session everyone prepared and performed their "Speak Out" speech.

Certificates were awarded for Most Improved speaker, and a winner and runner up were chosen to go through to the Regional final. Omar Ally will represent the school on the 24th May at the Regional final at Honywood School, with Tony Upton in reserve.

Congratulations to all the students that took part.
